Western Nations recognise Palestine, Japanese PM responds
New York – Prime Minister of Japan Shigeru Ishiba commented on the recent decisions by western countries to officially recognize Palestinian State this week. ishiba acknowledged that official recognition of a palestinian state by Tokyo is likely inevitable.
Speaking at the United Nations Forum (UN) in New York, United States (US), as reported by AFP on September 24, 2025, Ishiba also expressed his frustration with recent statements from Israeli officials.
“I feel very angry at the statements made by a number of senior Israeli government officials who seem to expressly reject the idea of the formation of a palestinian state,” Ishiba stated.
