Putin warns US Over Tomahawk Missiles for Ukraine

jakarta – The United States of America (US) is considering requests from Ukraine to receive Tomahawk missiles. russian President Vladimir Putin issued a stern warning.

Summarized by detikcom on Monday (6/10/2025) as reported by Reuters and AFP,Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the US to sell Tomahawk missiles to European countries, which will then supply the weapons to Ukraine.

The US has responded. Consideration of sending the long-range missiles was delivered by US Vice President JD Vance in an interview with the “Fox News Sunday” program on sunday (29/9) local time.

Vance said that President Donald Trump would make a “final decision” about whether to allow the agreement.

“We are of course considering a number of requests from European countries,” Vance said in the interview.

Tomahawk missiles, made in the US, are known to have a range of 2,500 kilometers and would be a valuable asset for Ukraine in fighting a series of Russian missiles and drones.

Supporting such weapons will almost certainly be considered by Russia as an escalation in it’s war in Ukraine.
