Putin Tests nuclear Drones Despite Trump’s Warnings

Jakarta – Russian President Vladimir Putin is testing nuclear-powered underwater drones again. This second nuclear weapons test this week ignores warnings from US President Donald Trump.

AFP reported on Wednesday (2025/10/29) that Putin watched the test of the Burevestnik cruise missile, which he says can fly an unlimited distance. The first test happened on Sunday (2025/10/02). Trump said the test was not appropriate.

“Yesterday, ther was another test of a new system – the unmanned underwater device ‘Poseidon,’ which also has a nuclear power source,” Putin said on TV while visiting a military hospital treating injured Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
